This Original, one of a kind 'Damchiya’ has been sourced from Rajasthan. It was originally used as a hope chest to store a bride’s dowry. Once married, it would have been used for storing clothes and other valuables, in her Marital home.
Now it is the perfect piece to add some warmth and character to your home. It would create a stunning statement in a hallway/ entrance, living area or anywhere in the home to elevate your space. This Damchiya, has been hand carved in beautiful detail, from teak that has been bleached to obtain a soft, light weathered appearance that highlights its beauty and history.
